Kramer Displays Full-Electric Wheel Loader at bauma 2016

Among the new technologies Kramer will display is the fully-electric wheel loader offering zero-emission operation, as well as the new 2706 telehandler with an increased payload of 2.7 tonnes.

At bauma 2016, the first fully-electric wheel loader with all-wheel steering for the construction industry will be presented. The machine will show off its skills on the trade fair stand in its own demonstration area. In addition, those who are interested can look forward to seeing the new telehandler 2706 and the completion of the Kramer portfolio with a compact tele-wheel loader.

Kramer stands for safety, which will be consistently shown on the trade fair stand and will be experienced by visitors. “Kramer: on the safe side” gets to the point of what customers can expect from the brand, and it is much more than innovative wheel loaders, tele-wheel loaders and telehandlers. Kramer promises safety at all levels: from the product to the quality, as well as the investment. “With their all-wheel steering, Kramer products have always stood for outstanding stability. This unique feature is one of the reasons why we have made safety the brand essence of Kramer. However, the machines are only one aspect of this. For also as a company Kramer is a safe choice for customers and dealers, since our experience and power of innovation ensure investment security and future viability,” explains Karl Friedrich Hauri, spokesperson for the management of Kramer-Werke GmbH.

Kramer will present a broad range of wheel loaders, tele-wheel loaders and telehandlers at bauma 2016. The diverse application areas of the machines will be presented through matched attachments. The first all-wheel drive wheel loader with an electric drive system will be shown as a special highlight. The electric loader with nearly 2,000 kg of tipping load and zero emission technology is ideal for emissions-free work in indoor applications, for example for tunnel work or applications in underground car parks. Thanks to a high battery capacity, the end user will not experience any loss of performance and benefits from reduced operating and service costs due to the electric drive system.
Another new product on display will be the compact tele-wheel loader 5065T. This machine rounds off the tele-wheel loader portfolio of Kramer and features a stacking payload of 1,650 kilograms with a bucket pivotal point of 4.25 metres. It is therefore ideal for filling high-sided transport vehicles. With its compact dimensions (height: 2.45 m, width: 1.60 m), the Kramer 5065T also offers all the benefits of a mini loader. Both new products are expected to be available on the market starting in spring 2016.

The telehandler 2706 is the third new product that will be presented. Its compact dimensions in height and width are below the 2 m limit as before. It will be presented to the construction industry for the very first time at bauma. The 2706 model is driven by a Kohler engine model KDI 2504 TCR with a 55.4 kW power output; in addition, it meets the requirements of the exhaust emission level EU Stage IIIB without a particulate filter. The payload has now increased to 2.7 tonne compared with the 2.5 tonne payload of the previous successful model 2506. The maximum lift height, however, remains unchanged. In addition, interesting product improvements have been incorporated into the design and development of the 2706: the new hydraulic system with 110 L/min of discharge volume, electro-hydraulic pilot control and load-independent flow distribution LUDV (load-independent flow valve) allow for a load-sensing characteristic of the work functions. Another highlight is the new generation of overload regulation “Smart Handling,” now with three operating modes (bucket, forklift and manual mode). To date, the system has only been available on the large telehandlers with three operating modes. Now the time-tested and proven operator assistance system “Smart Handling” has arrived in the compact class and provides stress-free assistance to the operator in daily use.
