Trimble Grade Control Factory-Fit Option for Hitachi Customers in Japan

Trimble announces that the Hitachi Construction Machinery Co., Ltd. ZX200X-5B semi-automatic excavator is now available in Japan with a factory-fit Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System. Hitachi Construction Machinery customers can now benefit from significant productivity gains using this new 20 T class excavator with a Trimble machine control system in either a 2D or 3D configuration.

The Trimble GCS900 Grade Control System is a machine control system for earthworks that makes design surfaces, grades and alignments accessible to the operator on a display inside the cab. The system uses GNSS, GPS, laser, sonic or total station technology to accurately position the blade or bucket in real time, significantly reducing material overages and improving the contractor's productivity and efficiency.
