Primarily used for potting and encapsulation applications, Master Bond Super Gel 9AO is a soft, urethane modified gel-like epoxy that offers thermal conductivity and electrical insulation properties.
- A two-part system
- Can be used for bonding and sealing as it adheres well to a variety of substrates including metals, glass, ceramics, and many rubbers and plastics
- Features low hardness of 20 to 30 Shore A
- Able to encapsulate sensitive electronic components
- Expensive parts are retrievable by cutting the compound with a sharp knife or razor blade without compound shattering
- Softness allows it to withstand thermal cycling as well as thermal and mechanical shock
- Serviceable from -100 to 200 F
- Resists chemicals such as water, oils and fuels
- Features 2 to 1 mix ratio by weight or volume and has a low to moderate viscosity
- Offers working life of 6 to 8 hours at room temperature, depending on the quantity that is mixed
- Cures at room temperature with little exotherm, enabling it to be cast several inches thick
- Light gray in color
