Companies From Around the Globe Exhibiting at INTERMAT Middle East

Construction equipment manufacturers from around the globe will be exhibiting at INTERMAT Middle East 2012.

INTERMAT Middle East returns in 2012 attracting globally recognized construction equipment manufacturers and providers to participate in the second edition of the international exhibition for machinery, materials and equipment for Construction and Infrastructure.

Organized by Comexposium and its partner Clarion Events Middle East, INTERMAT Middle East will take place from October 8 to 10, 2012 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Key names confirmed to participate at INTERMAT Middle East 2012 include: Putzmeister, Liebherr, Atlas-Copco, Dynapac, Manitowoc, Terex Finlay and Liugong, amongst others.

Maryvonne Lano?, INTERMAT Exhibition Manager, says: “Exhibitors were pleased with INTERMAT Middle East 2011, as it drew in over 3,200 buyers and opinion leaders, out of which 70% were from the GCC. We anticipate exceeding this amount in 2012. Furthermore, the region is continuously investing in construction development and this show will place exhibitors directly in front of the most important decision makers, buyers, contractors, consultants, government agencies and industry experts. The interest of returning and new exhibitors will ensure the
success of the second annual INTERMAT Middle East.”

According to a recent research report by Ventures Middle East, over $15 billion worth of
construction contracts are likely to be awarded this year in the UAE. The total value of current construction projects in the UAE is $1.249 trillion, with buildings accounting
for $871.6 billion, energy projects for $190.9 billion and infrastructure projects amounting
to $187.2 billion.

Exhibitors at the inaugural INTERMAT Middle East were able to secure lucrative
contacts with major developments in the region.

On being asked if his company received any good contacts at the show, Umberto Draghi, Managing Director of Global Consult, says: “Yes, high-level contacts, consisting of managers from companies like Al Jaber, Vinci, Al Naboodah and the Al Habtoor group; and individuals ranking from Managing Directors, Road Work Managers, and others.”

Draghi further continues to state that the first INTERMAT Middle East was well organized and confirmed his participation for this year’s edition as well.

INTERMAT Middle East 2012 will consist of a Construction and Infrastructure
summit along with a hosted buyers program. In addition, there will be an outdoor area showcasing the latest technologies and innovations from the world’s leading heavy plant manufacturers. The event will cover 20,000 sq. meters of exhibition space and 7,000 international buyers are expected.
