Polaris Laboratories' Guatemala Facility Opening Soon

Polaris Laboratories announces that its tribology laboratory in Guatemala will be opening soon, helping the company further extend its global reach.

POLARIS Tribology Laboratory Central America, S.A., the sixth facility POLARIS Laboratories has opened since it began operations in the U.S. in 1999, will be processing samples before the end of the year. The new laboratory, located in Guatemala City, Guatemala, will be the company’s regional hub of operations for fluid analysis customers throughout Central America, parts of Mexico and northern South America.

Bryan Debshaw, POLARIS Laboratories CEO, says the Guatemala expansion supports the company’s global strategy for continued growth and is a testament to the emerging strength and potential of the Central American market.

"The Guatemala laboratory is a significant step in our plan for global growth," Debshaw says. "It's a great fit with our 'one laboratory, multiple locations’ business model. The true advantage to using multiple testing facilities that share one database is that it gives global companies the ability to manage large equipment maintenance programs around the world from virtually anywhere," Debshaw says. "This new facility will also expand the services and support we currently provide to our existing customers and Private Label Programs with a presence in Central America."

The company will focus on expanding its customer base throughout the Central America region by providing testing products and specialized field services to road transport, power generation, industrial and mining and construction companies as well as to the agricultural applications that support the region’s thriving sugar cane industry.
