Mitsubishi Marine Engine announced the 12R-Y4MPTAW-3 engine. It is fully mechanical, which eliminates many of the reliability and maintenance concerns with electronically controlled engines. Individual heads, access ports for crankshaft bearings and other practical features allow many repairs to be made with standard tools and without lifting the engine or dropping the pan.
