PERC Study Compares Carbon Intensity of Propane and Electric Powered Vehicles

A new research study shows propane-fueled medium- and heavy-duty trucks have a lower overall carbon footprint than electric powered vehicles.

This week on OEM Industry Update we speak with Stephen Whaley, Director Autogas Business Development at the Propane Education & Research Council (PERC) about a new study which compares the carbon intensity of propane and electric powered vehicles. The study found propane fueled vehicles have a lower overall carbon footprint compared to electric vehicles when evaluating how the two are produced as well as how they are used in medium- and heavy-duty trucks.
