Husco has named Tom Hunter as the new president of its Off-Highway division. The appointment, which became effective Jan. 1, 2026, is part of a deliberate long-term succession plan.
Hunter succeeds Bob Mortensen, who has transitioned to the role of executive vice president. Mortensen will remain with the company to assist with the leadership transition and lead special projects until his planned retirement in late 2026. Hunter reports directly to Husco CEO Austin Ramirez.
Hunter began his career at Husco as an intern in 1993 and has held several senior leadership positions across the company’s global operations. His previous roles include general manager in Shanghai, managing director of European operations and vice president of global business development.
Husco leadership credited Hunter’s international experience with helping to expand the company’s global footprint and strengthening partnerships across North America, Europe and Asia.
Mortensen’s 25-year tenure at Husco was defined by significant global expansion for the Off-Highway division. Under his leadership, the company launched production operations in Maquoketa, Iowa; Whitewater, Wisconsin; Shanghai, China and Pune, India.
Mortensen oversaw business development, manufacturing and supply chain operations for the division, which serves original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in the earthmoving, material handling and agricultural sectors.
Husco is a privately owned company providing control system solutions for the automotive and off-highway vehicle industries. Hunter indicated his focus will remain on advancing the division’s growth and strengthening global partnerships.
