On July 1, 2013, Bailey International LLC, a leading mobile hydraulic product manufacturer and wholesale distributor, is expanding its distribution network west to support the growing number of Western OEMs.
Utilizing a third party logistics provider (3PL), Bailey will be able to provide cost-savings to over 4,400 current Western customers and over 25,000 potential customers. Bailey Chief Financial Officer, Steven Boyack, reports, "With the information we've gathered from both our shipping providers (FedEx and UPS), Western customers could save up to 50% in shipping costs on freight and parcel orders; meaning higher margins and healthier profitability for small to large scale manufacturers."
The new location will also offer substantial time-savings to Western OEMs. "Reno provides a strategic, logistical advantage for both Bailey and our customers," says Bailey's Chief Executive Officer Kevin Bailey. The Reno location allows Bailey to offer 1 to 2 day shipping times throughout most of the 11 Western states, including California, Arizona, Utah and Washington. "These time-savings can provide much-needed peace of mind during heavy manufacturing periods like the spring and fall, when component delivery times can cause delays in production," says Bailey.
Added benefits of the new site include: same day shipping on orders placed by 3 p.m. (PST), extended customer service and technical support hours (including online chat support) until 6 p.m. (PST), and two new OEM account executives to be stationed on the West Coast. "With improved customer support and shipping times, our goal is to greatly advance our customer relationships in the Western region, while also providing a positive impact on the bottom-line of our current and potential customers," says Steve Warnock, Bailey's Director of Sales and Service.
Over the next few weeks, Bailey will send more than 50,000 products to the Reno location, including all of the most popular cylinders, valves, pumps, motors, power units, bearings and fluid coolers. More than 1,500 skus will be available for purchase from the Reno location. The West Coast location will begin shipping on July 1, 2013. Bailey will extend its service hours starting June 24, 2013.
