SKF showed how its knowledge and expertise in developing sealing solutions that will increase system efficiency and save money for customers at IFPE (International Fluid Power Exhibition) 2014.
Among the innovations on show from SKF were a number of solutions for the fluid power industry. An animation demonstrated the complex hydraulic systems of an excavator that operate continuously in all conditions driven by the hydraulic pump, highlighting the different bearing configurations and demonstrating a sealing solution in proprietary SKF material.
The exhibits on the stand also demonstrated how SKF addressed a significant concern for Brevini Fluid Power, cutting the high level of premature seal failures through a new SKF sealing solution. Visitors to the SKF stand could also see the four new fluid system seals for hydraulic cylinders in the SKF range; three new piston seals manufactured in SKF proprietary materials and the new “Best in Class” S1S rod seal. In addition, the rotary hydraulic manifold display will demonstrate how the critical hydraulic circuits that power the rotational movement of a machine can be protected with SKF sealing solutions.
SKF brings together unique technologies for producing both machined and moulded seals according to customer needs. Whether it is for a development project or to solve a specific customer problem, SKF's capability to produce seals from small to large volume with flexibility and speed offers customers a reliable sealing partner who can support them throughout the life cycle of their equipment.
IFPE, which this year took place March 4 to 8, in Las Vegas, NV, USA, is the leading international exposition and technical conference dedicated to the integration of fluid power with other technologies for power transmission and motion control applications. Held every three years, the exposition showcases the newest innovations and expertise.
