In terms of numbers sold, the Bros SP54B was one of the most popular self-propelled pneumatic rollers. It weighed 6,120 lbs. empty and could be ballasted to 25,000 lbs. It rode on nine 7:50x15 tires.
Pneumatic Rollers Versus Steel Rollers
Given the pronounced upward tilt of the frame to the front drum, this very rare Rumely Oil Pull three-wheel roller is probably a conversion of a traction engine. It was the featured machine at the Historical Construction Equipment Association’s 2017 International Convention and Old Equipment Exposition in Carthage, NC, and is owned by show host Ken Eder.

This Galion Iron Works International roller is equipped with an underframe blade and rear scarifier for road repair. It also illustrates a common engineering practice from the 1920s in which industrial tractors (in this case a McCormick-Deering 10-20) were used as the powertrains for an amazing variety of machines.

Component Interchangeability Among Tractors and Scrapers
