Atlas Copco, a leading provider of sustainable productivity solutions, has completed the divestment of its Road Construction Equipment division to French industrial and construction company Fayat Group.
Atlas Copco announced on January 19, 2017, that it had agreed to sell the business to Fayat Group. The deal includes sales and service operations in 37 countries and production units in five countries; Sweden, Germany, Brazil, India and China. The business has 1,280 employees and had revenues of approximately MSEK 2 900 (MEUR 309) in 2016.
The transaction price is not materially significant to Atlas Copco’s market capitalization and is not disclosed.
The divested business manufactures rollers for asphalt and soil applications, planers and pavers. The products will be sold under the Dynapac trade name.
