FTR Schedules State of Freight Webinar Regarding Transport Impacts from Trump Administration

FTR's next State of Freight webinar will examine what is on the horizon for the U.S. economy and what, if any, influence President Trump will have on it.

The Trump election has raised some serious economic questions. For all his political rhetoric, the failure to pass healthcare has left many wondering what he can reasonably do to change the economy? What can't he do? The U.S. economy has been on a stable, low growth trajectory since early in the recovery. That seems likely to change in 2018. But the direction of the change remains very opaque. FTR will take a broad look at what has happened so far and what is next on the plate. Join Bill Witte, FTR Economy Expert, and Noël Perry, FTR’s Transportation Expert, for some insights during a webinar scheduled for Thursday, May 11, at 11 a.m. EDT.

Perry and Witte will help attendees understand and quantify the effect of the Trump Administration policies on the economy and regulations, as well as discuss if we should expect the status quo for the economy this year and next. They will also take a look at the impacts of infrastructure policy on both the economy and transportation.

Perry comments, “The Trump Revolution! Much ado about nothing, or the biggest thing since the New Deal? It could be both. The initial high hopes following the election are running head-on into political and economic reality. This collision is ratcheting up the uncertainty in our outlook.”

This is a 30-minute webinar moderated by Jonathan Starks, COO of FTR. Participant Q&A session will be held after the presentation.
