CNH has been listed in CDP’s Water A-List and been evaluated with an ‘A-‘ in the CDP Climate Change Program, confirming its commitment to the sustainable management of resources.

CDP, the international non-profit that drives companies and governments to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions, safeguard water resources and protect forests, has recognized CNH Industrial N.V. as a global leader in sustainable water management. The company is included in the CDP Water A-List comprising 73 organizations. Companies are eligible for an ‘A’ in the Water Program if they achieve 80% of the points available in the leadership group and have submitted a public response. Further to this, CNH Industrial received an ‘A-‘ rating in CDP’s Climate Change Program, confirming the company’s continued commitment to reducing CO2 emissions. 

CNH Industrial’s efforts in water management focus on increasing water efficiency within its industrial processes. The company promotes the use of recycled water to reduce withdrawals from external sources, improving water independence and the availability of water for local communities. The company’s water recycling index currently stands at 27.5% at a global level. 

Outside of its direct operations, CNH Industrial is committed to promoting responsible water management practices with its stakeholders and communities worldwide. In 2016, the company embarked on a sustainable water management program in Tunisia with the international Food and Agriculture Organization with the aim of reducing poverty and food insecurity, improving the ability of local producers to handle water shortages as well as periods of drought and increasing the sustainability of ecosystems in an arid region.

In addition, CNH Industrial is the seven-time Industry Leader and second-time Capital Goods Industry Group Leader in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, World and Europe, and holds Prime Status from the Oekom Corporate Rating assessment.
