LBX Subsidiary to Distribute Link-Belt Excavators to Brazil

LBX's Brazilian subsidiary, LBX do Brasil, will distribute Link-Belt Excavators throughout the Brazilian marketplace.

LBX do Brasil, the Brazilian subsidiary of U.S. company LBX, maker of Link-Belt excavators, will begin importing and selling the full line of Link-Belt excavators, forestry equipment, demolition equipment and scrap/material handlers into Brazil within the next 45 days through its established independent dealer network that currently includes Tauron Máquinas (Rio Grande do Sul, Santa Catarina and Paraná), A Best Máquinas (Central Brazil) and Tecnoloc (Belo Horizonte). LBX do Brasil’s dealer base will expand throughout 2012 to provide coverage to nearly the entire country of Brazil.

Additionally, construction of LBX do Brasil’s headquarters facility in Sorocaba, Sao Paulo is now complete. This new facility includes a Parts Distribution Center, and houses the offices for administration, sales and marketing, product support and training.

“Brazil is one of the fastest growing economies in the world, but introducing product alone without the full support structure would not achieve our long-term growth objectives and meet the demands of our customers. Therefore, to provide the highest level of support in the marketplace, prior to introducing our first products into Brazil, we invested our resources first in developing a new facility strategically located in Brazil as well as hiring an experienced team. I can state firmly that we are posed to meet the most demanding requirements of our dealers and customers, with products of the highest quality available,” says Robert Harvell, President and CEO of LBX Company, parent company of LBX do Brasil.

Expansion into the Brazilian marketplace is part of LBX Company’s long term strategy of broad U.S. domestic and international growth in the construction, demolition, scrap/material handling and forestry equipment sectors.
