ASABE Revising Utility Tractor ROPS Standard

ASABE announces its plans to revise the standard for compact utility tractor roll-over protective structures.

The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) has initiated a project to revise its standard for compact utility tractor roll-over protective structures.

ANSI/ASAE S478, Roll-Over Protective Structures (ROPS) for Compact Utility Tractors, was adopted by ASABE in September 1995. In the latest periodic review of the document, several outdated references were identified; the proposed revision will correct these immediately.

In addition, the review committee is initiating a comprehensive revision that will align the standard with current practices and equipment.
