From November 12-18 , Eberspaecher presented the latest heating and cooling solutions for off-highway vehicles at Agritechnica in Hanover. A particular highlight in Hall 17, Stand D09 was the EV10000 evaporator unit, which impresses with its high performance and compact size. Products become even smarter in control: With the EasyStart Web control unit, up to five heaters and thus multiple vehicles can be controlled simultaneously.
“With our product portfolio, we offer comprehensive heating and cooling solutions – from standard to individual applications,” explains Dr. Jörg Schernikau, COO of Climate Control Systems. “This includes a wide variety of commercial vehicles in the off-highway area: from tractors in the agricultural sector to harvesters in the forestry sector.” 
For vehicle interior heating, the economical Airtronic air heaters are particularly suitable.
EV10000 evaporator unit for tailor-made climate control solutions
For agricultural and forestry workers, an optimal temperature control of the cab is important – both in summer and winter. Eberspaecher presents the new EV10000 evaporator unit as a component in tailor-made climate control solutions. It is available as air-conditioning only as well as HVAC (EV10000-H) in various versions – for example in 12V or 24V. The evaporator unit can be flexibly installed in a variety of applications with the aid of extensive accessory equipment such as installation brackets, condensation drainage hoses or air nozzles. With a cooling capacity of around 10 kW and a heating capacity of approximately 11 kW, it is suitable for larger cabins or duct air-conditioning systems. The evaporator unit can be easily installed in the vehicle interior thanks to its compact dimensions and large number of fixing points. The HVAC version, with integrated water heat exchanger, can deliver warm air to the vehicle interior if required. This heat is extracted from the existing water circulation system of the engine. For more heat output, agriculture and forestry machine owners can operate the EV10000-H in combination with a Hydronic water heater.
Robust water and air heaters
Especially in cold regions, engine pre-heating by means of a water heater is recommended, as the engine is protected and the ability to operate even at extreme temperatures is ensured. With its compact size and flexible installation options, the powerful Hydronic S3 Economy water heating system is ideal for agricultural vehicles with limited space. It heats the engine and cab, and is particularly durable. It is also robustly designed for use in dusty or uneven terrain. Furthermore, due to its high IP Protection rating, the device can withstand the penetration of water during high pressure or steam jet cleaning before and after operation. If only heating of the vehicle interior is desired, the air heaters in the Airtronic family are ideal: They impress with their quick, easy installation and rapid heating of the cab.

Range-independent operation
With a view to the increasing digitalization of the agricultural economy, the heating system can be easily operated with the web-based EasyStart Web control unit via smartphone, tablet or smartwatch, as well as any internet-enabled device. The highlight: up to five heaters in a vehicle fleet can be operated in this way, independent of range. Agricultural and forestry machine owners have access to their heaters from virtually any location worldwide via the mobile network and can program and view the interior temperature of their vehicles. Furthermore, it is also possible to control the heater classically using the fixed control units EasyStart Select and EasyStart Timer. An additional plus of EasyStart Web is the remote maintenance function: if something requires attention, the workshop can, after authorization by the vehicle owner, carry out diagnostics with minimum effort remotely through the app. This saves time and money as the vehicle remains on the farm and the heater can be checked from the workshop.
