Dana Incorporated announces that its Spicer steer axles are featured on two "Tractor of the Year 2018" winners, which were revealed at a special ceremony during Agritechnica.

Dana supplies the Spicer 755 suspended steer axle for the Valtra Versu T254 Smart Touch tractor, which earned the coveted "Tractor of the Year" award as well as the "Best Design" distinction.

Meanwhile, the Fendt 211 Vario V narrow-track tractor equipped with the Spicer 708 suspended steer axle won the top honor in the "Best Specialized" category.

"Buyers of tractors and other agriculture equipment are seeking a blend of performance, controllability, power for work functions, fuel efficiency, and durability that maximize yields and reduce the total cost of ownership," says Aziz Aghili, President of Dana Off-Highway Drive and Motion Technologies. "As a supplier of axles to two of this year's 'Tractor of the Year' winners, we are showing how Dana delivers the complete spectrum of field-proven benefits that are needed most."

First presented in 1998, "Tractor of the Year" winners are selected annually by a jury of 24 European editors from independent technical magazines specializing in agriculture machinery. Members of the jury evaluate entries under field conditions to determine winners in three categories as well as a "Best Design" award chosen from all the finalists.

Dana is highlighting a full breadth of drive and motion products for the agriculture industry in hall 16, stand F06 at Agritechnica this week.
