Omni Powertrain Technologies announces the development of its LV series of electric cartridge motors available under the firm’s Magelec brand. 

  • Intended for use in light electric vehicle applications
  • For traction or auxiliary functions
  • Two models available offering continuous power ratings of either 2.5 or 3.7 kW (3.4 or 5 hp)
  • Light and compact
  • Easily integrated with Omni planetary or parallel shaft gearboxes to sustain continuous torque ratings to 7,000 Nm (5162.9 lb.-ft.)
  • Suitable for range of voltages from 24-96V
  • Features IP67 rating
  • Can be supplied with range of brake and encoder options
  • Could be applied to smaller models of off-highway equipment, such as mini-excavators
  • Other applications could include MEWP (mobile elevated work platform), turf care machines, smaller utility machines, recreational vehicles, and material handling equipment
