ZAPI GROUP presented its expanded low- and high-voltage capabilities for industrial vehicle electrification during CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026 in Las Vegas. As the construction equipment market moves toward larger, more demanding applications, the company introduced new high-powered components designed to meet increased performance requirements within compact form factors.
Motive Power and Motor Solutions
For motive power applications, the company highlighted its third-generation high-voltage inverter, the ACH3. This unit features customizable control software designed to enhance performance across varied duty cycles.
Complementing the inverter is the IMI permanent magnet electrical motor solution. The IMI features an integrated, liquid-cooled power-electronic inverter, a configuration intended to simplify integration for original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) while reducing the overall footprint of the powertrain.
High-Voltage Charging and V2X Technology
ZAPI GROUP expanded its battery-charging portfolio with new liquid-cooled on-board solutions compatible with 100, 400, and 800V lithium-ion battery packs. The offerings include:
- 7.2 kW Modular 3-in-1 Solution — This unit combines a 1kW DC-DC converter with an EV charging station interface.
- 22 kW Modular 4-in-1 Solution — This high-power unit integrates a 2kW DC-DC converter, EV charging station interface, DC fast charging (DCFC), and power-line communication (PLC).
- 22 kW OBC V2X — This on-board charger supports bi-directional charging modes and features Universal Grid Compatibility (UGC) alongside integrated functional safety features.
Electric Dumper Proof-of-Concept
A central feature of the display was a fully electric dumper proof-of-concept platform. The prototype serves as a demonstration of ZAPI GROUP’s powertrain integration capabilities, showing the conversion of a traditional diesel-powered dumper into a zero-emission machine.
The platform utilizes the company’s motors, inverters, and charging systems to provide a turnkey, production-ready electrification solution for OEMs developing next-generation construction machinery.
“With a long history of success in vehicle electrification, ZAPI GROUP is driving the construction and industrial sectors toward safer, more efficient, and productive operations,” said Matteo Artioli, global sales director at ZAPI GROUP. “We’re focused on delivering technologies that make electrification more accessible and scalable for our OEM customers and partners.”
Future of Electrification Conference
Following the exhibition, ZAPI GROUP will host its fifth annual Future of Electrification virtual conference April 21-22, 2026. The event is scheduled to focus on practical strategies and real-world case studies for integrating electric solutions across industrial sectors.
