MDW Draw-wire Sensors

POSITAL MDW linear measurement devices offer accuracy, versatility and long service life.

• Combines a high-precision magnetic rotary encoder with a robust draw-wire mechanism to provide a measurement range of up to 2 meters at a resolution of 35 µm (1.3x10^-3 in.)
• Built around a multi-turn absolute magnetic encoder that uses a Hall-effect sensor to measure angular displacements
• No internal electrical contacts
• Tests have shown negligible loss of accuracy after over more than one million draw/rewind cycles
• Compact: 46 x 46 x 70 mm (1.8 x 2.2 x 2.8 in.)
• Available with either analog or digital (CAN or serial SSI) instrument interfaces
