MCD Magnetic Rotary Encoders

The POSITAL MAGNETOCODE (MCD) absolute rotary encoders offer an alternative to single- or multi-turn potentiometers.

Mcd Analog Voltamp 10635890

POSITAL's MAGNETOCODE (MCD) absolute rotary encoders with analog output (voltage or current) are an ideal alternative to single- or multi-turn potentiometers in systems that use analog instrumentation to measure and control rotary motion.

  • Provides analog output to control circuit
  • Internal electronics are primarily digital
  • Operating parameters – including scale and sensitivity – can be programed on-site through pushbutton and LED interface
  • Can be programed so that full scale of output - voltage or current - precisely covers preset range of rotation to improve overall system accuracy
  • Based on magnetic Hall-effect sensors
  • Experiences no wear, corrosion, etc. that can degrade accuracy of conventional potentiometers
  • Operates reliably in harsh conditions
  • Tough enclosures protect measurement components from mechanical loads, shock and vibration, dust and moisture (up to IP 69K ratings)
  • Does not need  backup batteries, offering low-maintenance
