Wachendorff Automation has introduced its WDGI Series encoders, a completely revised version of its WDG Series incremental encoders which are based on the 58 mm size industry standard.
- Operating temperature range for standard encoder with connector is -40 to 85 C
- Extended temperature range can be implemented as an option for encoders with cable outlet, widening the possible range of applications without shortening the encoder‘s service life
- Provides option of working at pulse rates from 1,200 ppr with pulse frequencies of up to 600 kHz (TTL) or 2 MHz (HTL)
- Can deploy high pulse rates at high speeds, considerably increasing machine‘s measurement accuracy at high throughput rates
- WDGI58D heavy-duty variant offers up to 25% higher potential bearing load than predecessor, translating into 500 N in both an axial and radial load direction to ensure sufficient reserves in extreme shaft loads
- Self-adhesive membrane option guarantees high reliability, even when temperatures change quickly
- Features protection rating of IP67 for resistance to harsh environmental conditions
- Cover is made of die-cast aluminium to maintain housing's eco-friendly powder coating
- Eyelet integrated in housing cover allows labelling strip to be attached to identify system or location
- Use of high-quality electronics enables lifespan up to 25,000 pulses
- Shaft is sealed to IP65
- Immune to interferences
- Features full connection protection at 10V DC up to 30V DC
