AEF ISOBUS database now available as a smartphone app

Due to the growing use of mobile devices by farmers, AEF has released a smartphone app for its ISOBUS database.

Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF)

The Agricultural Industry Electronics Foundation (AEF) has decided to make its AEF ISOBUS database available as an app for iOS and Android.

These days, smartphones and their increasing use to access mobile services is something that we cannot escape. The rapid increase in app useage is an impressive illustration of the importance mobile applications now have in the everyday activities of the modern Internet user. The app was debuted for download at this year’s Agritechnica for both Android and iOS mobile operating systems.

As a first step, a compatibility check can now be run from a mobile phone. This lists the ISOBUS functionalities available in a particular implement. The results can be shared with others by e-mail. The AEF ISOBUS Database app is now available for download free of charge from the Apple Store (iOS) or the Google Play Store (Android). All currently registered database users can use the new app with their login details. New users can sign up to the database via the app, and will then be able to access both. The AEF is currently working on updates to the app, and on versions for use with tablets.
