Polaris Laboratories Opens Facility in Russia

Polaris Laboratories has opened a new facility in Moscow, Russia, helping to grow the company's presence in Europe and Asia.

POLARIS Laboratories, the leading North American fluid analysis provider, also operates one of the largest networks of independent laboratories for testing technical fluids, including fuel, oil and coolant, in the United States, Canada and Central America. The company has now expanded into Russia with the opening of POLARIS Laboratories Russia, the official representative of POLARIS Laboratories, located in Moscow. This laboratory represents the seventh facility for POLARIS Laboratories. The managing director of POLARIS Laboratories Russia is Dr. Guram Nemsadze, who has 19 years of experience in the field of oil refining, lubricants and tribology. He also teaches undergraduate and graduate students at the I. M. Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

Transportation service fleets in Russia and CIS (Commonwealth of Independent States) countries are actively being modernized with new-generation equipment that requires more innovative and sophisticated approaches for managing their maintenance and diagnostics. These approaches have now become achievable in Russia through the capabilities of the new POLARIS Laboratories Russia facility. Qualified specialists, trained at POLARIS Laboratories’ headquarters in Indianapolis, perform modern diagnostic tests using the most advanced equipment available, much of which cannot be found anywhere else in Russia. Companies operating in the Russian market, such as FUCHS, Volvo, Subaru, Cummins, MacDon, General Electric, Kvadra, TGK-8, Energokaskad, The ?4 Group, LUKOIL, MTS, GreenTime and others are already taking advantage of the superior services being offered by POLARIS Laboratories Russia. Also, in addition to offering some of the most advanced testing available, the new lab is also offering prompt and reliable service, with 94% of the samples received being processed and having reports delivered within 24 to 48 hours.

POLARIS Laboratories, headquarterd in Indianapolis, IN, has been testing oils, diesel fuels, coolants and other technical fluids for more than 13 years (since 1999) in various industries, including transportation and industrial equipment diagnostics. All of POLARIS Laboratories’ North American facilities are ISO 17025 A2LA accredited, which is the highest quality rating attainable for the analysis of technical fluids. A Guatemala facility also operates according to the requirements of the POLARIS Laboratories Quality System. POLARIS Laboratories Russia has begun the process of becoming ISO 17025 accredited as well.  Currently, POLARIS Laboratories Russia is operating according to the requirements of the POLARIS Laboratories Quality System, and is being managed by the lab’s Science and Quality Departments.
