TE Connectivity (TE) announced an updated status of its integration of Deutsch Group SAS at the Farnborough Air Show. In addition, TE and Deutsch representatives discussed the strength of the combined product line and the impact to customers throughout military and commercial aerospace markets.
The acquisition of Deutsch, a leading provider of high-performance connectivity solutions for harsh environment applications, significantly expanded TE’s connector product offering, enabling the company to better serve customers by filling the gap on circular and composite connectors. “With the addition of the Deutsch circular connectors, TE can now provide the complete line of cable harnessing components, including wire, backshells, identification and the accessory materials that make up a modern EWIS dependent electrical harness,” says Frank Breslin, Vice President of Global Sales, TE Connectivity. “Customers now have a one-stop shop for highly robust and complete solutions to meet the growing market for harsh environment connectivity applications.”
Integration of Deutsch is well underway within TE. Led by TE’s sales channel, the initial focus has been on customer support and service. The addition of Deutsch focused franchised distributors has been added to the existing TE distribution channel to further support customers. In addition to the channel changes, TE is working towards a unified sales team in order to increase the combined TE and Deutsch presence for all customer accounts.
“Our goal is to provide our customers a unified sales force with a single face for all our commercial aerospace, defense and marine products,” adds Breslin. “This, along with the additional focus within our distribution channel, will help our customers with reduced lead times and ease of procurement for all our product offerings.”
