SIKO SGH10L Position Sensor

Introduced at bauma 2019, the SGH10L position sensor is designed for applications where almost no stroke loss is acceptable when integrating sensor into cylinder.

SIKO has developed the SGH10L position sensor for hydraulic and telescopic cylinders in order to give designers and developers maximum flexibility in designing their cylinders.

  • Specially developed for use in applications where almost no stroke loss is acceptable when integrating sensor into cylinder
  • Lateral mounting on hydraulic cylinder in specially developed housing rather than, as usual, in cylinder base, prevents stroke loss from occurring
  • System is fixed to cylinder by hydraulic screw connection
  • Cable is guided into cylinder and then redirected towards piston head
  • Only installation space for sensor ear is required in cylinder
  • Measures a few millimeters in size, providing particularly compact installation shape
  • Can be used in hydraulic cylinders with extremely small diameters, e.g. 20 mm (0.8 in.) and smaller, or integrated in cylinders with mechanical end-position cushioningHollow drilling of piston is unnecessary
  • High flexibility for both cylinder manufacturer and user
  • Many available interfaces, such as analog current or voltage outputs, CANopen or SAE J1939
  • Available in two versions, 500 and 1,000 mm (19.7 and 39.4 in.) measuring ranges
  • Equipped with PURE.MOBILE sensor kit, meaning it was designed from scratch with 100% focus on mobile hydraulics, and accordingly exclusively for mobile machines
  • Pressure-resistant up to 350 bar (5,076.3 psi), pressure spikes up to 450 bar (6,526.7 psi)
  • Wide temperature range up to 105 C (221 F)
