ASM presents posirot PMIS4/PMIR7, a non-contact, wear-free magnetic incremental encoder solution which was designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
- Offers unique, simple slide-on shaft assembly
- Consists of sensor head PMIS4 and magnetic ring PMIR7 with magnetic index mark
- Sensor head is made of robust metal and is fully enclosed on all sides
- Magnetic ring is available in three different diameters (27, 35 or 50 mm [1.06, 1.38 or 1.97 in.]) to fit various shaft sizes
- Magnetic ring is mounted directly onto machine or motor shaft without a coupling utilizing patented slide-on mounting solution
- Provides linearity of +/- 0.1 degree and resolution of 184,320 ppr
- Distance between sensor head and magnetic ring can be up to 2 mm (0.08 in.)
- Protection class IP67
- Operates reliably at temperatures of -40-85 C (-40-185 F)
- Shielded against electromagnetic interference
- Available output types are HTL and TTL
