Position and motion sensor specialist POSITAL has announced that its IXARC incremental encoders will be available with a special housing that features a cable entry angled at 45 degrees to the device’s axis.
- Compact design combines features of both axial and radial cable entries in single unit, providing more flexibility when laying out connection cable
- Shares same advantages of other IXARC incremental encoders
- Core magnetic measurement technology is rugged and accurate, with excellent dynamic response
- Wide variety of flange and shaft configurations are available, reducing need for costly adaptors or work-around
- Water and dust-tight grommet around cable entry ensures devices meet IP65 level ingress protection
- Housing is 36 mm (1.4 in.) in diameter and 32 mm (1.3 in.) long
- Programmable, enabling resolution to be set anywhere from 1-16,384 pulses-per-turn in software without requiring any changes to mechanical properties
- Pulse direction and output driver – either Push-Pull (HTL) or RS422 (TTL) – can be defined through software parameters
- Changes can be made quickly in the field or in the shop using POSITAL’s easy-to-use UBIFAST programming tool
