Red Dot Award Winners of Design Concept 2013

Now in its ninth year, the Red Dot Award: Design Concept has not changed much from its first year, but the caliber and number of submissions continues to keep design and innovation fresh and exciting to watch, judge and reward for out-of-the-box excellence.

Red Dot began receiving entries in 2005 centered around creative and exciting design concepts, prototypes, ideas and visions. Now in its ninth year, 2013’s awards saw a record number of entries (4,394) from 57 countries—a 20% increase over 2012’s numbers. The award has become an outlet for design teams and designers to showcase their latest concepts free from customer constraints.

A selection of winners from the 2013 Red Dot Awards for Design Concept follows. According to Ken Koo, Red Dot Design Award President - Asia, many of the most influential product companies of today participated which is particularly important for defining the level of competition, and as a result lead to the “most impressive crop of winning design concepts ever.”
