The C2.2 Cat diesel engine allows OEMs to equip their products with fuel-efficient engines that meet EPA Tier 4 Final/EU Stage IIIA/Stage IIIB emissions requirements. This engine utilizes many of the same features as its predecessors to make the transition to Tier 4 Final easier.

- Regeneration process is transparent to equipment operator and has no adverse affect on machine's duty cycle
- Cleaning of ash residue from DPF is typically required at 3,000-hour intervals
- Design controls heat rejection, eliminating valuable space consumption by cooling requirements
