Caterpillar has built on the success of its industrial engine range with the launch of the Cat C9.3B industrial engine.

Features 9.3 L (2.46 gal.), 6-cylinder turbocharged design
For use in heavy-duty off-highway machines
Delivers 250-340 bkW (335-455 bhp) and 2,088 Nm (1,540 ft.-lbs.) of torque
Meets Stage V/Tier 4 Final and below emissions standards
Provides 18% more power and torque
Features simplified and 39% smaller aftertreatment system compared to the previous Stage/Tier engine
System mass has been reduced by 140 kg (308.6 lbs.) while a simplified air system allows for smaller radiator packaging
Ease of installation has been supported through engine mounted aftertreatment (EMAT)
Compact and lightweight diesel oxidation catalyst, diesel particulate filter and high-efficiency selective catalytic reduction aftertreatment system maximize uptime
Multiple configurations of aftertreatment will be available to support packaging flexibility
Also available as an industrial power unit
