EPA Issues Final Rule On E15 Use

The EPA has issued a final rule on E15, intended to prevent misuse of the gasoline with 15% ethanol.

On July 25, the EPA issued a final rule on E15 gasoline. The goal of the final rule is to prevent misuse of the fuel, which contains up to 15% ethanol.

The final rule prohibits any vehicle, engine or equipment not approved by the EPA for use of E15 from using gasoline that contains more than 10% ethanol. All E15 fuel dispensers must also be labeled clearly that they are intended only for vehicles approved for E15 use.
