Agriculture Equipment Orders Remain Above Year-Ago Levels

Agricultural equipment sales in North America and Europe continue to grow above 2020, aided by strong market demand and positive crop prices.

Although annual U.S. Farm Machinery and Equipment Shipments were down slightly in August 2021, they remained 12.9% above the previous year. Production of agricultural and forestry machinery in Europe was also up in August 14.7% from 1 year ago.

Most other sectors, including construction equipment and heady-duty truck production continue to also fair well, although supply chain challenges are having their impacts. Construction is still likely to move into a slowing growth trend in the coming quarters.
