At this year’s Intermat (April 23.-28), the international exhibition for construction and infrastructure in Paris, Yanmar Construction Equipment Europe (Yanmar CEE) will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its first mini-excavator. In line with the trade fair motto “Building tomorrow, today”, the compact machine specialist shows its future-oriented extended product range and a new data management system. Yanmar presents its newest models of midi- and mini-excavator, wheeled loaders, wheeled excavators and dumpers as well as SmartAssist Remote. Visitors will obtain information about the Japanese manufacturer’s trend-setting machines and technologies at stand 5BG F 035.

Andreas Hactergal, Sales and Marketing Director Yanmar CEE, says, “We constantly work on our technological progress. We upgrade existing models and develop new ones – always with a high demand regarding technology and quality. For Yanmar, it is clear that the answer to the requirements of economy, society and environment are innovative solutions. We look forward to interesting talks at the Intermat.”Yanmar's ViO-6 range with zero tail swing is equipped with the latest generation of electronically controlled TNV engines.Yanmar's ViO-6 range with zero tail swing is equipped with the latest generation of electronically controlled TNV engines.

New SV60 midi-excavator

The SV60 is the latest Yanmar short tail midi-excavator. The new 5.7 ton machine has been designed to respond to the most demanding requirements regarding comfort and stability. Putting the operator at the centre of its design initiatives, Yanmar has developed the Universal Design concept providing comfort for enhanced productivity. The cabin offers high capacity which is comparable to 8 and 10 ton excavators. The operating controls and switches are ergonomically arranged for easy reach. An air suspended seat comes as standard equipment. It is fully adjustable and has a headrest, thus reducing body tension and fatigue. The standard SV60 is also equipped with a rear-view camera with an additional screen offering great visibility and enhanced safety on the jobsite.

Furthermore, the SV60 has a last generation Yanmar engine with an output of 33.4 kW at 2,200 rpm. This is the result of Yanmars continuous efforts to further develop technological enhancements in terms of fuel consumption and emissions. The ViPPS hydraulic system cumulates the flow of separate pumps in order to obtain the optimal combination in terms of speed, power, smoothness and balance. All the operations can be realised smoothly and in a simultaneous way, even while traveling. The optimal mass distribution and the design of the midi-excavator result in the improved loading chart and its static stability. The SV60 has a high digging force to be more productive and to work in hard conditions. This makes the new Yanmar machine the perfect tool-carrier for the most demanding jobsites.

Mini-excavator with Zero Tail Swing

Four renewed models of zero tail swing mini-excavators between 2 and 4 tons will be presented: ViO26-6, ViO27-6, ViO33-6 and ViO38-6. The ViO-6 range is equipped with the latest generation of Yanmar TNV engines. Emissions, sound level and fuel consumption have been sustainably reduced. What’s characteristic for the zero tail swing machines: Neither the counterweight nor the front of the upper frame exceed the track width. With their compact dimensions, very small turning radius and reduced transport weight, the four models operate easily – even in confined spaces.

Compact tracked dumpers

Also, the compact tracked dumpers C30R-3 and C30R-3TV have been optimized for increased efficiency in narrow construction sites. The vessel of the C30R-3 can be tilted on the back and has three-way flaps. The wagon of the C30R-3TV has a turning frame, which can spin 180 degrees. This enables the carrier C30R-3TV to dump material while driving along a trench, thus getting very close to the job site. Both models can turn 360 degrees within less than 18 seconds even when carrying a load of 2,500 kg. The improved maneuverability and the high driving speed of the machine result in increased driving comfort and productivity.

Powerful wheeled excavators and loaders

Additionally, Yanmar will present the compact wheeled excavators B75W, B95W and B110W. Their undercarriage combines high mobility with drive power. Thanks to the pendulum axle with a pendulum angle of 14 degrees, the wheeled excavators are absolutely stable, even on rough terrain. Four independent hydraulic circles allow to exactly steer the wide range of attachments. Like the wheeled excavators, also the four wheeled loader models, V70S, V80, V100, V120 can be utilised for an extensive range of applications. The articulated steering with its 40-degree-steering angle allows to operate the bucket to the load in a straight line. Thus, the machine can be easily operated even under challenging conditions.

New data management system

The new tool SmartAssist Remote monitors the performance, the location, the consumption and the maintenance requirements of the machine and provides detailed information on the machine’s condition and application. With this tool, the technical data can be accessed on computers, tablets and smartphones, regardless the location. It facilitates the daily organisation and improves the efficiency of work processes. In addition, the system alerts in case of unusual actions – such as leaving a certain area or any activity outside the hours scheduled. Stolen machines can be quickly tracked with SmartAssist Remote.
