The announcement was made by Carl Brown, President of Hella, Inc. and Jim Grady, President of Milex Technologies, Inc.

According to Jim Grady, who has also been named Hella Mining Operations Managing Director, the sales function as well as the sales department will be based at Milex Technologies headquarters in Elko, NV, while the executive, marketing and product management departments will be handled out of Hella, Inc. in Peachtree City, GA.

Grady notes, “This venture provides two great and innovative companies with an ideal opportunity to work together in a very specialized and technically demanding field to produce a unique type of lighting. The products we make are critical to mining safety and performance. They must be designed, tested and built to withstand a host of extreme environmental conditions, such as high impact, dust and humidity, while delivering low power consumption, durability, reliability and long life. Both of our companies possess the skill level, experience and proven technology that will be needed to meet the lighting needs of mining companies and mining support organizations in the U.S.”
