H. G. Schaevitz LLC, Alliance Sensors Group has released its LV-45 Series inductive, contactless linear position sensor using LVIT (Linear Variable Inductance Transducer) Technology.
- Specifically designed for measuring applications requiring rugged devices
- Withstands use in high vibration, extreme temperature and humidity, and severe shock environments
- Proprietary inductive technology allows device to replace traditional DC-LVDTs in most applications
- Simple coil design permits sensor to be both shorter and more rugged than DC-LVDT counterpart while operating over a wider temperature range
- Available with optional mounting flanges, rod eye ends, connector or cable terminations, and a captive connecting rod assembly that cannot break loose
- SenSet range adjustability feature allows users to scale zero and full span output to actual range of motion being measured after sensor is installed
- Operating temperature range is -40-85 C (-40-185 F)
- Ranges from 100-450 mm (3.94-17.72 in.) with various analog outputs
- Double shaft seals keep dirt and grime out of the bore
- Includes 1/2 to 20 UNF externally threaded core rod with core being captivated so it can't come out
- Axial or radial connector or cable terminations available
- Features 1.75 in. (44.5 mm) outer diameter body with 5 mm (0.2 in.) wall thickness
- Available with 1/2-20 UNF threaded or rod eye end connecting rod
- Optional mounting hardware available
