- Uses high-speed AC dynamometer system to simulate engine, allowing testing to be performed in a clean laboratory environment without need for fuel, cooling, and fire suppression systems
- Precisely simulates torque pulses from engine firing
- Includes thermal chamber and water mist system to simulate wide range of environmental conditions known to have major effects on belt noise performance
- Capable of creating misalignment and/or tilt to pulleys, also potential contributors to engine belt noise
- Enables OEMs to test new formulations of rubber, fibrous materials, or pulley and belt shapes designed to minimize belt chirp under a wide range of environmental conditions
- Capable of testing belts of any length or width
- Can be used for testing both axial and angular belt misalignment, and performing belt aging and durability testing
- For any size engine that has front end accessories such as a water pump, fuel pump, alternator, power steering pump, fan, etc. that is driven by a belt
