Caterpillar will expand on what is already the industry’s broadest industrial engine range with the addition of the Cat C13B 6-cylinder, 12.5 L (12,500 cc) engine.

- Delivers 15 L power at 32% less system weight
- Offers peak power across wide speed range enabling OEMs to optimize machine performance based on application needs
- Features high torque rise for excellent load acceptance
- Aftertreatment system utilizes DOC, DPF and high-efficiency SCR technologies, eliminating need for EGR
- High-efficiency SCR and elimination of EGR are key enablers to improving fuel consumption up to 6% while maintaining neutrality of total fluid consumption
- Compact, lightweight aftertreatment system is 63% lighter and 65% smaller than current equivalent
- Features such as integrated NOx sensors offer 50% reduction in customer interface connections, optimizing component packaging and integration requirements
- Dual label certification – Stage V and Tier 4 Final - gives customers opportunity to commonize products across regions
