On September 6, 2017, DEUTZ became the first manufacturer worldwide to be certified for EU Stage V by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority. This was followed by further certifications for the industrial and agricultural variants of the popular TCD 6.1 Series with power ranges of 56–130 kW and over 130 kW. The entire DEUTZ TCD 6.1 series has now been certified for the new emissions standard.
By obtaining this certification for its successful engine series, DEUTZ is delivering on the promise it made regarding the new emissions standard under the banner ‘Our Promise – Your Flexibility’. This equally applies to the agricultural variant of the TCD 6.1 engine series, which has also been certified. The water-cooled 6 cylinder in-line engine with turbocharger, charge air cooling and cooled external exhaust gas recirculation generates output of 106-174 kW at an engine speed of 2,100 rpm. The popular agricultural engine variants easily meet the requirements of EU Stage V thanks to DVERT, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and particulate filter (DPF).
The industrial variant of the TCD 6.1 is now also certified for Stage V. The water-cooled 6 cylinder in-line engine with turbocharger and charge air cooling generates output of 105-180 kW at an engine speed of 1,800-2,300 rpm. The engines meet the requirements of EU Stage V with DVERT, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) and particulate filter (DPF).
From November 12-18, DEUTZ’s range of certified engines will be making their worldwide debut with the new ‘Stage V certified’ seal at Agritechnica in Hannover.
