Volvo’s Electric Hybrid in Commercial Service

The Volvo Electric Hybrid now runs in commercial service for the very first time. It runs on the so called Innovation Route 109 in Hamburg, Germany. On the route, the sustainable bus system will be tested and evaluated. The city of Hamburg has established the target: from 2020, only emission-free buses should be acquired by the city. Volvo 7900 Electric Hybrid can run for 7 kilometers on electricity only, quiet and emission free.
