Baumer has announced the expansion of its sensor solutions for mobile and off-highway machines with a new high-performant safety inclination sensor. The new GIM600R was particularly developed for rough conditions in mobile machines and ensures maximum robustness at yet high measurement accuracy according to the latest safety standards (ISO 13849-1:2023). In vehicles such as aerial work platforms, loader cranes and telehandlers, the high, temperature-stable precision of the inclination sensor simplifies machine design and reliably allows for increased working range. The PLd-compliant GIM600R also enables higher performance in construction vehicles thanks to reliable measured values for static stability control.
The Baumer GIM600R inclination sensor sets new standards in terms of robustness and durability, ensuring significantly improved machine uptime. The GIM600R went through numerous, particularly demanding endurance tests, meets the ingress protection requirements up to IP69K rating, and is corrosion-resistant up to CX. It is further immune to shocks, vibrations, dust, dirt and salt spray.
The GIM600R integrates into machines thanks to its compact housing and redundant standard interfaces CANopen and SAE J1939. The freeware Baumer Sensor Suite, which can also be used for new GIM600R parameterization in an intuitive dashboard, saves even more engineering time. OEMs who have previously relied on the Baumer inclination sensors GIM140R or GIM500R can simply replace them with the GIM600R and thus will benefit from enhanced performance compliant to the latest safety standards.
