PALFINGER and LTTS Partner to Open Global Development Center in India

Lifting solutions manufacturer PALFINGER has entered a strategic partnership with L&T Technology Services (LTTS) to establish a Global Development Center (GDC) in Pune, India. The partnership was officially signed during a ceremony in Pune on Dec. 9, 2025. The new GDC is part of PALFINGER’s effort to increase its operational scale, drive innovation and accelerate time-to-market for its products globally and within India.

"This investment is a direct expression of Reach Higher, our Strategy 2030+, and strengthens our presence in strategically important regions like APAC with India at the forefront."

Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President, Mobility and Tech at LTTS, said the new GDC will serve as a strategic innovation hub. It will bring together AI-powered simulation and embedded engineering to help PALFINGER build future solutions while achieving faster development and improved cost competitiveness.

Details of the Global Development Center

Under the agreement, LTTS will establish and operate the GDC on behalf of PALFINGER. Located in Pune, a hub for the automotive, software and mechanical engineering industries, the center will begin with a dedicated team of approximately 20 engineers and experts. This team will support both local and global development initiatives.

The team in Pune will be integrated into PALFINGER’s global engineering network, working closely with the company’s Technology Center in Köstendorf, Austria. The GDC is intended to provide PALFINGER’s engineering teams with access to a wider talent pool and improve responsiveness to the Indian market.

The new development center is part of a broader strategy for PALFINGER in India. The company is also expanding its local partner network, optimizing its supply chain and pursuing plans to set up a local production facility to meet growing demand in the region.
