Emissions analyst Integer Research, which operates discoverDEF.com and FindAdBlue.com has launched a Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) locator website in Brazil, EncontreARLA.com.br.
The PROCONVE P7 emissions standards for heavy-duty vehicles in Brazil came into force January 2012. In response, manufacturers will begin to sell Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) equipped trucks and buses, and drivers will need to refill the DEF (named ARLA 32 in Brazil) tank on their vehicles regularly.
This aftertreatment technology uses ARLA 32 to breakdown dangerous NOx emissions.
The website will help drivers find ARLA 32 suppliers by providing a retail location search function. The website team will collect and verify data from ARLA 32 suppliers, retail chains and organizations, listing the results on the website.
Website search functions and information pages will go live in March.
Further information on diesel emissions legislation and technologies in Brazil will be discussed at the Diesel Emissions Conference & ARLA 32 Forum Brazil 2012.
