The JCB JZ141 crawler excavator made its North American debut at the 2018 Rental Show. The 33,000 lb., reduced-tailswing excavator is equipped with a fuel-efficient JCB EcoMAX engine that meets Tier 4 Final emission standards with no diesel particulate filter (DPF), no diesel engine fluid (DEF) and no engine aftertreatment, making it well suited to rental fleet operations.
Key features:
- JCB EcoMAX T4F engine with no DPF, no DEF and no aftertreatment
- Reduced tail swing for safer and easier operation on confined work sites
- The engine and hydraulic system are perfectly matched for optimal performance and up to 10% better fuel efficiency than competing machines
- Reduced 98 dB external noise level
- Ideal machine for rental operations
Optimized productivity
The EcoMAX engine produces high torque at just 1,500-1,600 rpm, and the engine and hydraulic system has been optimized for the perfect balance of power, productivity and efficiency. This results in up to 10% lower fuel consumption than competing 33,000 lb. machines. Additionally, the efficient engine results in low noise levels of just 98 dB, which makes the JZ141 particularly suitable for inner-city construction projects, where site noise can be an important consideration.
“The JZ141 excavator provides rental operations and construction professionals with a powerful, efficient excavator that is easy to service and well suited for construction applications on confined work sites and in urban environments,” says Tyler Peterson, Product Manager for Excavators at JCB North America. “Not only is the JZ141 productive and efficient to operate, but rental fleet owners will find that the simplified maintenance requirements and higher residual values ensure lower cost of ownership and a more profitable ownership experience.”
With no requirement for exhaust aftertreatment or complex emissions systems, the JZ141 uses regular engine oils, further reducing operating costs. The machine can also be operated in non-legislated territories without any requirement for changes to after-treatment systems, boosting residual values and further lowering total cost of ownership for the customer.
