This week on OEM Industry Update, editor Sara Jensen speaks with David Frank, Global Vice President of Commercial Sales- Engines & Batteries, at Briggs & Stratton, about the company’s Vanguard battery offering and electrification trends in the off-highway equipment industry. According to Frank, regulations and solving problems—such as the need to operate indoors or reduce noise levels—will be key drivers for electrification. As such, the company is continuing to develop new products and work with OEM partners to meet their application requirements.

Electrification is also an enablement for robotics and autonomous operation, said Frank. It makes implementing robotics and automation easier and safer, especially when it comes to refueling or recharging.
