Emphasis on Electrification Continues for Commercial Vehicles

Manufacturers introduced several vehicles and components geared toward vehicle electrification at the 2019 NACV Show.

Dana Inc. debuted a fully electric terminal tractor powered by its new Spicer Electrified e-Powertrain system.

The Spicer Electrified e-Powertrain includes the motors, axles, batteries and other components necessary to electrically drive a vehicle.

Meritor introduced two new electric axles featuring integrated electric motors.

Fuel cell electric vehicles were introduced by many manufacturers, as well including Cummins Inc. and Hyundai Motor Co.

Bosch displayed the Nikola Two at its booth to demonstrate its commitment to future-oriented technologies including electrification and automation.
