Technology News Tracker: AGCO Debuts New IDEAL Combine

AGCO debuted its Fendt IDEAL combine to the U.S. market at this year’s Farm Progress Show.

The company took a clean-sheet approach to the design focusing on key factors such as simple operation and maintenance.

IDEAL includes an in-house designed track ride track system, as well as MAN engines for increased power output.

A dual helix rotor measuring 16 ft. long gently separates grain while the balance grain pan system, with one concave and one convex pan, guides crop to the shoe and evenly distributes it.

The IDEAL harvest system helps improve in-field efficiencies by using specialized sensors to determine grain quality and automatically adjusts combine settings as necessary to ensure optimal performance.
