Grede Holdings LLC, is using a patented iron alloy called SiboDur to produce lighter chassis, powertrain and drivetrain components for heavy-duty vehicles. 

  • Ultra high-strength material
  • Allows for much lighter construction of parts
  • Competes successfully with aluminum in terms of weight and performance, at a lower cost
  • Features tensile strength range from 450 to 800 MPa, and elongation properties of 5 to 17%
