Novotechnik U.S. introduces the Vert-X 2800 Series of sensors that measure angular position.
- Converts rotational angle into analog or digital output
- Digital interface options include J1939 CANbus as well as SPI and PWM
- J1939 CANbus option enables peer-to-peer or broadcast signaling
- Available in single and fully redundant versions
- Measurement range is 0-360 degrees with repeatability of 0.1 degree
- Available analog outputs are 4-20 mA, 0.1-10V, 10-90% of supply voltage and 5-95% of supply voltage
- Option of up to two programmable TTL-level switches
- Users can select stock part to simply measure angle or a configurable one using a tool connected to PC called Easy Adapt
- Possible configurations include start- and end-angles for less than 360-degree maximum range, index point, cw or ccw indication, calibration settings and non-linear curves
- Housing base diameter is 28 mm (1.1 in.)
- Provides up to 14-bit resolution and linearity to ±0.1% of measurement range
- Sealed to IP65
- Life is ≥ 50 million movements and MTTF is over 100 years
- Suited for industrial, medical and off-highway vehicle applications with operating temperature range of -40-85 C (-40-185 F)
